A dislocated finger
A massage client thanked his massage therapist for the 90 minutes of neuromuscular therapy with nary a complaint. He asked to use the restroom, and on the way out complained to the therapist about an obvious dislocated middle finger on his right hand. The therapist did not recall the client having any problems with any of his fingers during the massage, but recommended the client see a physician.
The insurance claim filed against the massage therapist and paid by MASSAGE Magazine Insurance Plus’ broker totaled $15,765.
