Bonnie Prudden Myotherapy is a hands-on, drugless, non-invasive method of relieving muscle related pain, emphasizing speedy, cost effective recovery and active patient participation. Bonnie Prudden developed the technique in 1976; it has its origins in the medical discipline of trigger point injection therapy pioneered by Janet Travell, M.D., and therapeutic exercise and immediate mobilization developed by Dr. Hans Kraus. Myotherapy relaxes muscles, improves circulation and alleviates pain in the body, while it increases strength, flexibility, coordination, stamina and energy, and improves posture, gait, sleep patterns and work and play performance quickly, effectively and lastingly.
