Oklahoma requires licensed massage therapists to have liability insurance. Although the state doesn't specify a minimum amount, it's typically recommended to have $1 million per occurrence and $3 million aggregate. This insurance covers both professional errors and premises-related incidents, ensuring comprehensive protection.
Oklahoma Massage Therapist Requirements
Aspiring massage therapists in Oklahoma must complete several key steps for licensure. They must fill out an application, provide proof of lawful presence, submit a valid ID (18+), have current professional liability insurance, and provide a certificate and transcript from a state-licensed massage school (500 hours).
