In the 1940s, Therese Pfrimmer worked on a cross-muscle fiber principle known as Deep Muscle Therapy, which consists of an extremely detailed, total body cross-fiber treatment that causes corrective changes in the muscle on a cellular level. Also called Pfrimmer Deep Muscle Therapy, the technique is said to help correct and prevent serious muscle conditions such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson’s, cerebral palsy, brain injury and stroke. It has also been effective in alleviating sports injuries, trauma, occupational stresses, arthritis and other problems.
