Massage Therapy Student Liability Insurance
Liability insurance is a part of the general insurance system of risk financing to protect the purchaser (the “insured”) from the risks of liabilities imposed by lawsuits and similar claims. It protects the insured in the event he or she is sued for claims that come within the coverage of the insurance policy.

Protecting Your Career Is Important
You should consider purchasing massage liability coverage when you enroll in massage therapy school and begin to practice on the public, as well as when you begin your career as a massage therapist and begin to practice professionally.
You can, of course, forgo any insurance and assume the entire risk. You can do this as long as you can be assured you will not suffer a major loss. However, since risk is impossible to predict, a better option is to pass any risks you feel would be detrimental to you, your massage business, and your family to an insurance carrier.

Key Things To Know:
Occurrence Form is the industry-preferred policy type over Claims Made because you are covered for any incident that occurred while your policy was in effect. We offer the Occurrence form Policy so that our customers can rest easy knowing they're protected even if their clients delay making a claim.
We offer individual limits, meaning your policy will protect you up to the amount listed on your policy. Every insured person will have their own coverage, and the claims that others make will not affect the individual coverage amount available. This is unlike shared limits where when the group shared limit is reached for the policy year, anyone who files a claim afterwards will not be covered under their individual limits.

... I heard my client slip and fall ...
My appointment was going well when I heard my client slip and fall in the bathroom during my service. She twisted her ankle. I did not realize that I was being held responsible for this. I had to pay for her medical bills and pain and suffering. I was happy to find out that my policy with Insurance Plus covered it.
