Wisconsin Massage Liability Insurance Guidelines
In Wisconsin, licensed massage therapists must have liability insurance with at least $1 million per occurrence and $1 million annually. Massage Magazine Insurance Plus offers policies that meet and exceed these requirements from the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.
Wisconsin Massage Therapist Requirements
To become a licensed massage therapist in Wisconsin, you must be at least 18 years old, pass a fingerprint-based background check, complete a minimum of 600 hours of massage therapy training from an approved school, pass the MBLEx (Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination), obtain professional liability insurance, pay an application fee of $75, and complete 24 hours of continuing education every biennium.
